Preprints are defined as an author’s version of a research manuscript prior to formal peer review at a journal, which is deposited on a public server. Authors have the right to submit a manuscript to NSR provided there is a preprint of the article hosted on preprint servers, as well as on personal or institutional websites. Authors should disclose details of preprint posting in the cover letter, including DOI and licensing terms applicable on the hosting platform.
Once the preprint is published, it is the author’s responsibility to ensure that the preprint is updated and a publication reference is added in the following form: "This article has been accepted for publication in Natural Science Review (DOI: xxx; URL: xxx)".
